Cleanouts · Dallas–Fort Worth

Attic cleanouts.

Attics are hot, tight, and awkward — which is exactly why you haven't cleared yours. Send photos of the space and the ladder access, and we coordinate a crew that works attics.

Nothing in the attic has been missed in years. Bring it down once, sort it once, and be done.

Why attic access changes the job

Pull-down ladders, scuttle holes, and low rafters mean everything comes down by hand, one careful trip at a time. Photograph the attic opening and the hallway below it along with the stored items — the crew needs to know whether they're working a walk-up attic with flooring or balancing on joists under a Texas roof.

Heat, timing, and safety in DFW attics

North Texas attics regularly pass 130°F in summer, so attic jobs are often scheduled for morning windows. Mention in your request if the attic is floored, lit, and ventilated. Items sitting on exposed insulation or near wiring get noted in the quote so the crew arrives prepared rather than improvising.

Sorting before it all comes down

If you can safely get up there, a quick sort saves money: mark keepsake boxes with tape so the crew stages them in the house instead of hauling them away. Everything else — old decor, forgotten luggage, boxes no one has opened since the last move — goes straight down and out.

Questions

Asked before every pickup.

Can crews work in an unfloored attic?

Often yes, but it must be disclosed — photograph the joists and opening so the request is matched with a crew comfortable working that access.

Do you remove old insulation?

Loose insulation removal is a specialty job. Small amounts of insulation debris mixed with junk can sometimes be included — flag it in photos for review.

What about signs of pests up there?

Mention droppings or nest evidence in the request. Contaminated items may need different handling, and it's better to know before the quote.
