Slate versus MDF changes everything
A three-piece slate table hides 450–700 pounds of stone under the felt; an MDF table might be 200 pounds total. Look at a corner where the felt meets the rail, or check the model, and tell us which you have. The quote and the crew match depend on it more than any other detail.
How a table actually comes out
Rails and pockets come off first, then the felt, then each slate slab is unbolted and carried individually. That is the safe order for the stone and for the people moving it. Your photos should show the table, the room it is in, and every doorway and stair between it and the truck.
Basements, game rooms, and upstairs tables
DFW game rooms love second floors, and slate on a staircase is the hardest version of this job. Be explicit about the floor, the staircase shape, and railing clearance. Ground-floor and garage tables are dramatically simpler and it shows in the quote.

Can the table be moved to another house instead?
This service is removal and disposal. Relocation with re-leveling and re-felting is specialty billiards work, so it is better handled by a table mechanic.
Is an old slate table worth anything?
Rarely. Used tables sell slowly and buyers expect them to be moved professionally. Most owners decide removal is simpler than listing it for months.
What happens to the slate?
Slate is stone and often recyclable as aggregate; wood frames route to disposal. It's handled downstream by the crew's disposal routing.
